Miriam Cain is a luxury journalist, editor and PR professional based in the UK.
Miriam's main interest has always been the superyacht industry, which she has been involved in since year 2000 in a variety of marketing roles.
Miriam spent 12 years as Editor of the luxury lifestyle publication SEA+I, and five years as Editor of quarterly Elite Traveler Superyachts (part of the Elite Traveler publishing group), while also working as PR & Communications Manager for international brokerage house Camper & Nicholsons International (C&N). Her role at C&N ranged from in-house PR, where she managed countless superyacht PR campaigns for yachts in the C&N Fleet, to writing and editing publications and corporate brochures including an annual hardback Charter Collection and annual Superyacht Index (which focussed more on the business and statistical side of the industry). She has the skills and knowledge to produce a yachting magazine or publication from start to finish if required.
Very knowledgeable about the well trodden cruising grounds of the Mediterranean and Caribbean, Miriam also knows about less well-known destinations. She has travelled the world to discover the most luxurious properties, yachts and destinations, interviewing superyacht designers, builders and owners along the way. Her personal network in the industry among shipyards, brokerage houses, journalists and yacht owners is extensive and has been built up over many years.
Miriam brings this wealth of knowledge and her contact book to offer Editors, editorial staff and marketing departments her skills in feature writing and contribution, sub-editing, proofing, PR and creative services. On the public relations side she can assist with press releases, launches, bespoke campaigns, and events to help promote yachts, designers, builders, and superyacht related products. Whether you need content or ideas, or even just some bespoke consultancy, Miriam can help with any job and is able to draw upon both her professional in-house team at YACHT-A-PORTER and also a virtual team of other reliable and experienced freelancers that she has worked with before and who meet her high standards.
